The previously unidentified comb jelly is actually Beroe gracilis. The globular shape fooled me initially, but it appears that gracilis (the swimming mouth) had recently engulfed another comb jelly. The prey's shape and comb rows can be seen in these photos.

Can't believe it took me so long to see it!
