[CHAMBER DAY & EVE 2012 - WEDNESDAY, MAY 2 - SAVE THE DATE!!!]

We've had a little flurry of Challenge activity in the last few days and I'm
delighted to tell you that we are now closing in on $37,000!!!!

We start off with a Gold donor (double- Gold actually) from the PCH Scuba
diving community. This is sort of an interim donation for them as Brett Bovard
tells us they're still collecting money and hope to add to this amount by
Chamber Day.

We also got a quartet of Silver donors in the form of Jim Krasne, Don Lake,
Laguna Sea Dwellers, and NAUI Worldwide, and these four are a good example of
the cross-section of divers that step up to support our Chamber. Jim & Don
are both individuals in the LA area who want to make sure the Chamber stays
strong. Laguna Sea Dwellers in an orange County dive club whose members will
hopefully never need the Chamber but who want to make sure it's there if they
do. And NAUI Worldwide is a leading national training agency.

We also got a bronze-level donation from Bonnie Cardone in memory of Roger
Hess, the "father" of Chamber Day, and who died a short while ago. We will be
honoring Roger's memory this year in the form of Challenge donations (you can
make the designation on-line or just call or e-mail us) and we'll be having a
slide show tribute to him at Chamber Evening.

Our next waypoint looks like $40,000. but we can't get there without you. I
know a lot of you like to wait until the last minute as the pace of the event
picks up and since we're only twelve days, I'd say we're there. So how about it?
Who will go to our website (www.chamberday.org), make an on-line donation, and
give us a push towards $40,000?
