Gilligan have you thought about a diopter? Your macro looks really sharp with a diopter I think you can get impressive details of some of your critters

Haven't thought about it. I gave up add-on lenses when I finished with with Oly C4000Z.

I have seen an adapter on reefphoto Canon WP-DC34 (G11) Housing to 67mm Wet Mount Lens Adapter [gb.67mm.dc34] - $59.95 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros (http://reefphoto.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=117_87&products_id=5027)
that could get you to attach an M67 diopter such as Inon ICL165 or even a subsee 10+
I think that a diopter combine with the close focus of the G12 could produce impressive results

Great photos as always.
How close does the G12 focus underwater?

1 cm however at that distance is a bit difficult to position a strobe and your critter may get spooked so you move away and zoom in

I had an Inon close-up lens with my Oly setup. In all honesty I did not like it. It had a very narrow depth of field with little room for error. I quit using it and sold it along with my WAL. I am content with my current setup.

Not sure as I don't get on top of macro stuff. I use a little zoom as I think it makes for easier strobe placement. I then crop in PS.
