Four of my last five annual dive vacations were to Indonesia, but we had to skip our trip last year due to a new baby. So it's been about 2.5 years since my last trip to Tulamben, staying at Scuba Seraya, and maybe five years since staying at the Mimpi in Tulamben proper.
Thinking about swinging by Bali as part of a two week business trip next month, but need some updates. I see a few more lodging places in Tulamben, such as Liberty Dive Resort and some specialty villas, but none are on the beach; however some claim to be 150m from the entry point. Are they closer to the wreck entry point than the resorts on the beach? I remember along the beach, Mimpi was the farthest over towards the fishing village, then Matahari, and finally Tauch Terminal was closest. But I can't remember how far Mimpi/Matahari were, just that it was a relatively far walk. I don't mind staying up the hill if the walk is not longer than from Mimpi.
I did love the Seraya resort, but there's no wi-fi there and I may need access between dives for doing some work. Therefore I'd prefer to stay at a place that has wi-fi like Matahari, or at least within walking distance of Internet access in town. Also since I'll only have three days to dive, so being able to have the freedom to walk to the wreck for a dive any time of day is appealing.
