I recently purchased new 16lb. weight pockets. When using them vertically with 2-3 lbs of weight in each the insert holding the lead would fall out of the holder and dangle by the clip. Is there a cure for this?

This is a common problem of almost every WI BCD.
What I did solved the problem, at least for me.
Two scenarios :
1) Traveling with weight limitations (fly for example)
I cut a 1 mm thick stainless steel plate of the exact size of the weight pocket. Rounded the edges and insert inside the weight pocket. Then insert the lead weights. The steel plate is stiff enough to avoid it bending and falling.
2) Traveling without weight limitations (by car for example)
I did two lead hard weight, again of the exact size of the weight pocket, but of 1 cm thick. It weights 2.5 kilograms (5 pounds) each.
As the weight is also stiff it will not bent and will not fall.
This has been discussed several times :

I'm using a Dive Rite Transpac with the weight pockets on the waist webbing. Thanks Eduardo for the info.

Have you tried contacting them directly instead of from here. I have found them excellent to deal with. This site may not be a priority....
