I just returned from 10 days of Cavern diving in Akumal and have posted a slide show showing some of the pictures I took in the caverns at Dos Ojos, Gran Centoe and Taj Mahal.

On a wet wintery day like today, the crystal clear waters on the Mexican cenotes just seem like a better place to be. :)

Enjoy!

Great pics,

I can't wait to do my cave diving course!

Which cave is your favourite?

Thanks!

Dos Ojos was my favorite Cavern, we spent an entire hour dive on the main the cavern line, and then went back and did the bat cave. We also had the place to ourselves, which was very cool. Gran Cenote is the prettiest, with very white walls, and was the favorite with the Cavers that I was with.

Great shots! Thanks for posting them.

Thanks,

I am probably going down there in january, so I will check it out!

Have a great trip down there in January, you'll love it.

If you are driving yourself, I should warn you that the road to Dos Ojos is about 20 Km long, and is really, really bad. Take your time driving and be glad that it's a rental car ( we used big vans ) and not your car! :)

If you are interested, there are some details from the trip posted in my trip report to Akumal.

Thanks again for the kind comments!
