Just checking some old mails when I came across this link. It is to a navy thermal satellite picture of the worlds water temperature.
-It shows the -surface- temperature and it is in Celsius. I believe it is updated daily.

My daughter just drew something like that on her highchair table with ketchup! Very cool!
