Hopefully this will make it into the Jakarta post(newspaper) to increase awareness of what is going on.

Dynamite fishing in Komodo & now this in Lombok. Very depressing.

Dynamite fishing in Komodo & now this in Lombok. Very depressing.

The guys at Aquatic Alliance have close contacts with the Coral Triangle Center which has close contacts with the authorities but it may be a super long run, as everything in Indonesia involving central administration & local authorities.

Meanwhile building awareness may be the best move to help making this stop as authorities may react more quickly when bad advertisment is involved.

Its not only Lombok. its also happening in Lembongan, Flores and RA. The shame is it happends also in Marine protected areas, but there are no funds to control all of this. hopefully more and more people become aware what happends in Indonesia but also in the world.
