You can use any kind of ball valve up to 20-30 bar, any type of manometer with sufficient pressure range. I think, the main problem is, what can we use as a chamber. Maybe, some water filter housing, for example. Anyway, there isn't danger to try it all with the syringe, cause it is hydraulic test and the pressure produce by your hands.
