Oceanic OC1 dive computer what gives?

So for those of you with the OC1 let's talk about the compass and the auto home feature. What's the good, the bad, and the ugly? I would always carry a back up compass, but I am intriguided by the digital versions.

I have a VT3 and VEO 3 and really like the oceanic computers. I could use this same transmitters for the Vt3 and OC1.

Reliable? User friendly?
