OK so I am much older and a lot fatter.

Years ago I stayed at the allegro in (coz) and if I remember right, the beach at 50 yards from my room wasn't too bad to plop in and see life.

Then a couple of years ago I stayed at the park royal (coz) and was somewhat disappointed in the walk-in snorkin.

I definitely want AI and not to worried about price, must have A/C.
Not doing any diving at all.

I am hearing Belize and Roatan but I don’t know anything about them.

I am headed somewhere mid Aug 2012.

I am looking fwd to your comments

Check out any of the lodging options on West Bay Beach in Roatan, Honduras. The AI options are structured a bit differently than in Mexico, but still a bargain. You do not need to go the AI route though. The beach is nicer than any in Coz and the snorkeling right off there blows anything off Cozumel away.

Here are some pictures from my first trip there in February: Roatan Snorkeling Book Images pictures by testudo92 - Photobucket
