Hello, I recently bought a Nikon d90 with the intention of getting a housing for underwater photography.

A fellow diver recommended going to BH Photo to acquire a housing, I live outside the States. On the site the available housings are the Ikelite and the Nimar. I have read various threads asking about the Ikelite and the Aquatica, but none for Nimar.

Could you guys recommend the ideal housing I should get and, if so be the case, a website to buy it? My budget isn't very large 1000-1400 dollars.

Also, should I get some strobes? Which would be ideal for this housing?

Thanks,

Erick

I have a D70S. Bought an Ikelight housing and strobes from Helix (Helix Camera & Video). They have a good selection, are willing to advise, and have great customer service. Yes get strobes.

Nexus housing is fantastic. I have had no problems with it. I began with a D70 and converted it to a D 90 when I got the d90. Strobes are key.... Any camera will do... It is the lights that you need. Remember you loose all red after just 10 feet.

I have a D90 Nexus housing I am considering selling. Its in perfect condition, I am just considering upgrading to a newer camera. The housing is at the high end of your budget but perhaps we can work it out. Let me know if you are interested. I love the housing. I can carry all my camera gear in a backpack for travel including the housing, ports/dome. Willing to ship international. email me at kcmayes1@hotmail.com if interested.

Hi Erick:
I am getting very old and just put my Aquatica housing for a Nikon D90 for sale with Reef Photo in Florida. It is complete, lightly used, works fine, just overhauled. Just email Reef Ryan Canon at Reef Photo for details. Good luck ! Anilaodiver
