We want to fly to Grand Bahamas soon from ft laud.
Couple questions:
Would we need to follow the no fly recommendation for 18 hours after diving multiply times? Maybe only one deep dive on first of 3 days.
The flight is 40 mins and im not sure the altitude the plane will reach on that flight and how we will be affected.
If we arrive at grand bahama, will it be ok to dive a few hours later?
Thx

yes you can dive a few hours after your arrival into freeport. unless your returning on a private aircraft flying @ or below 2,000ft, i'd adhere to the recommendations from DAN or your certifying agency in reguards to flying after diving. even the commuter aircraft normally fly above 8,000FT to freeport from MIA, FLL and PBI,,,,,,

Stick to the "no fly recommendations/rules/guidelines". With that said, there is a ferry that runs from Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Bahamas. I beleive it pushes of early in the morning, and you can be diving that afternoon.

BahamasAir? No fly rules apply because they pressurize the cabin regardless of the altitude reached. On both their 737's or Dash-8's

The dive after the flight shouldn't be a problem, but adhere to the 18 hr rule. If you're doing a shore dive the ferry would be a good choice, but if you're going out with a dive op it may be pushing it to dive the same day if the ferry docks at 12:30 and have to clear customs.

was planning on 8am flight, 8:40 arrival. Then going out for 1pm dives. 2 tanks at 50-60 feet.
We will be flying united.

I generally wait at least 24 hours after multiple dives to fly.

We want to go to Unexo for the shark feeding and maybe carribean divers for many others. Unexo is much more pricey

I went with Caribbean a couple a weeks ago, if you just want to see sharks, we saw plenty, about 10 on one dive alone. So you may be able to save a bit more there.
