Hi DMDavid,

Try taking the battery out and using a paperclip connect the bridge between the positive and negative connections. Replace the battery and check the log.

All settings should be reset and the computer should be wiped.

You have to send it in for service. Taking out the battery will not clear the log.

Not true. There is a hard reset on this computer to restore factory defaults. Read the post directly above yours.

Read above your 1st post, He wants to delete the logs and pull out the battery and shorting the lead won't do it. The logs are written into a eprom memory chip. Two you may want to check with your legal counsel before telling people how to clear the log. The log show who screwed up the diver or the computer.
