Photos at Manatee deputies trying to ID owners of stolen scuba gear | Crime | Bradenton Herald
MANATEE -- Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to identify the owners of two kite surfers and scuba equipment they believe were stolen by a burglary suspect arrested last week.
Eric L. Hertzog, 25, was arrested Aug. 31, and so far has been charged with one count of grand theft and four counts of burglary, with other charges pending. He is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail
The grand theft charge is connected with the theft of a 2004 Yamaha Warrior ATV from Harbor Pines Condos on 34th Street West in Bradenton on Aug. 5.
"While investigating the theft, deputies discovered what is believed to be stolen items left behind when the ATV was stolen," a news release states.
The items include two kite surfers and scuba equipment. The sheriff's office on Wednesday released photographs of the items in an attempt to identify the owner or owners.
The ATV has not be recovered.
Anyone with information on this case can call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011, ext. 2506.
