I have a Dive Rite LED 500 which was working great but during my most recient use it turned off during the "does the light work" check I do before kitting up. After the dive I took the battery pack out to check to see what was going on and it appears to have melted parts of the 8cell battery pack. I am assuing a short of some type but would like to see if anyone at dive rite could help me out. Can these lights still be serviced? This is a GREAT light for travel and cost over current canisters and I would hate to lose it.

Thanks!
Mitch

Did you contact DiveRite directly? I would be very surprised if they cannot fix it for you, great customer service in my experience. Good luck.
