I have been to Belize three times. After the first time we fell in love with San Pedro and kept coming back. The Coral and Sponges at Half Moon Caye, Lighthouse Point and two sites at the southern tip of the walls at Terneffe Atolls were so amazing. There is a site on Grand Caymans that shows videos of the dive sites and what to expect there. I am wondering if anyone on here knows of any more dive websites that exclusively provide videos of the dive sites so that the possible dive tourists can expect to see when they dive that area. For now we are thinking about going back to Belize again in the summer to the Turneffe Beach resort for 10 days since the diving looks better than any place I have seen so far. We are mostly looking for vibrant reefs, soft/hard corals mixed together. with 80-100+ visibility without much current, and not on a liveaboard. With boat dives, not shore dives. We will also have two teenage boys not diving. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Although we do not really cater to US market, take a look at my website. It is a work in progress, but I am trying to imbed a video of each of the dive destinations we offer. For the exact reason you suggested. So that divers can get a look at what they are going to see. Every destination claims to be great diving, but it really helps divers select their destination if they can actually SEE what they are going to experience. Enjoy, and check back weekly, I am continually updating. SCUBA DESTINATION DEALS - HOME

You can also just do a search on youtube. You can find pretty much everything there.

There is a website for the Grand Caymans, IDIVE something, you can google it which has some great documentaries and video of the island from different dive operations, I think this is great and wondered if anyone else has this for other dive destinations.

Hey doogisar....got to watch those of us shooting videos. I have hours of tapes I did around Utila a couple of years ago and by the time I was done editing and adding sound tracks, you would have thought you were diving Fiji (well not quite, but almost). I video'd so many midnight parrot fish you would think they were common on every dive, but they are not. I had the same idea Bryan is using on his website but thought folks might be disappointed if they did not see the same abundance of critters that I filmed, so I gave up on that idea and stick with still shots. Thought you mentioned the Cayman trip was going to be the last shot with the teenagers...? Are they looking to tag along to Belize...?

There's been a change in plans on the Grand Cayman trip Greg, I sent you an email. I saw some you tube video of the walls off southwest Puerto Rico which look ed great. Abundance of Coral,Sponges, Macro opportunites and such. I will be there in two weeks. We dove the East side last year and it was ok, there were alot of people on the boat and crowded when trying to get a picture before the subject fled away or the silt was too much to bother with.
