We are currently planning our summer holiday, with Palau rising up as a main contender. As there are good chanses of big fish with sharp teeths I guess wide angle photo is more probable than a lot of macro.

My current setup is Ikelite 6146.12 housing, DS51 strobe and Canon G11/G12 (one of each - always good to have a spare).

As I assume I'd want to do some viedo as well I just bought the red-filter, but now I'm starting to wonder if I should shell out for the WD-4 as well.

But I can't seem to find any comparison pictures or examples of the effect of the wide-angle conversion dome. I know it will give me some wide-angle back, but how much? Anyone wants to persuade me to open my wallet?

Regards, Torstein

TorsteinH,

The WD-4 effectively corrects light refraction underwater and returns the lens angle to 28mm (equivalent) underwater.

There are comparison photos with a G10 and WD-4 here: http://www.ikelite.com/web_two/wd4dome.html

Best Regards,

Brett Foster - Ikelite
