Suunto SPG + Depth Gauge Combo...do I register it? Warranty?

Newbie questions here:

I purchased my first new regulator set from my LDS. I registered my regulator and octo with Aqualung. Do I need to register my Suunto SPG + depth gauge combo? When I called Suunto, they led me to Aqualung, who was unable to take calls...Is there typically a warranty on these items?

The offer of a warranty is not based on registration. You either get it with the product or not. The registration has two purposes 1) follow up marketing 2) follow up mfg issues with the former being the primary reason. Most every mfg. offers a warranty on their products but only if you have bought it from an authorized dealer (not gray market). Keep your proof of purchase that is all you need for warranty issues.

FWIW the reason Suunto referred you to AquaLung for their products is because AquaLung is the North American sales distributor. So they handed everything dive related for Suunto.
