What is the size and weight difference of these 2 housings ?

ronscuba,

They are nearly identical. You can add 1.8 lb to either housing when you add the tray and handles.

7D housing specs are nearly identical to the 6D:

Width10.0 in (250 mm) including controls
Height6.9 in (175 mm) including controls
Depth6.6 in (185 mm) including controls
Weight5.5 lb (2.5 kg) without tray & handles

T2i housing specs are nearly identical to the T4i:

Width9.5in (240mm) including controls
Height6.7in (170mm) including controls
Depth6.5in (165mm) including controls
Weight5.5lb (2.5kg) without tray & handles

Thanks for the reply Brett. Kind of surprised the sizes are so close. The T2i is much smaller than the 7d. I imagine the buoyancy will be affected with the T2i being smaller and lighter.

Planning on using a 60mm macro lens with flat port and a Tokina 10-17 fisheye with 6" dome. Neutral buoyancy would be ideal. A little positive is not bad either since adding weight is easier than adding buoyancy.

I own both the T2i and 7d.

Note that the housing dimensions and housing weight are virtually identical. There is little change in buoyancy using a slightly heavier camera body, however, a larger port (with more airspace) will make the housing more buoyant.

All Ikelite DSLR systems are slightly negatively buoyant regardless of the configuration.
