We've made it past $8,000!!!
The donations this week are led by the duo of Laurie Kasper & Ken Kurtis (both active members of the Chamber Day Committee as well) with a joint donation of $1000 on the Gold Level. They are joined there by perennial Gold level sponsor Beach Cities Scuba (who made their donation via e-mail from Egypt where they're on a dive trip).
We've also got a couple of Poster People ($250) to add this week. But perhaps the most poignant story is our $2 donation you'll see under "Other".
It comes from a little girl, probably no more than 10 years old, who stopped by the Chamber Day table at Divers Day at the Aquarium. She asked what it was all about and Martin Carreon, who was working the table at the time, patiently explained it to her. She nodded her head and walked off. A little while later she came back with two one dollar bills gripped tightly. She handed them to Martin telling him she "wanted to help out the divers."
