North Carolina has alot to offer when it comes to deep wreck diving in the warm Gulf Stream for most of the year.
If a vacation here is in you plans in the new year, here is a good way to start.

Hi Spearo,

Looks like we need to get together and trade dive trips!! I have a house at Long Beach, just south of Southport. How are the shore dives on the outter banks, fished them a bunch but never thought about going diving via the surf. The stuff down my way is wreck and some almost tropical reefs. Home base is Raleigh.

Hi herman, as you know nothern Outer Banks is all about wrecks and AR's. Here in KDH. and Nags Head there are a few on the surf with low vis. but who cares, is a dive!
Off of Oregon Inlet there is 6 or 7 more wrecks good for fishing and one hr. South is Hatteras for the deep dives in nice blue water.

IF you get a bit further south, you should check with Coastal Scuba in N Myrtle Beach. I have been going with for 6 years. Godd safe boat. They do Civil War wrecks mostly.
