We had a great day diving Catalina this last Friday, May 3rd on the Magician. Dolphins led us on the way out to Black Rock, Starlight Cove and Parson's Landing. Vis was 20-30 ft in the shallows with 53-56 deg. of water temp. (dry suits are starting to look good). Anyway, by far the highlight of the day was on the way home when we caught up with a pod of Orca's. Jerry said it was a family, parents, adolescent and a baby. They actually swam up, stuck their heads out and then went under the boat to the other side. What a treat! As always, Captain Jerry and the Crew were great, as was the food and assistance in and out of the water.

very nice

Very cool.

I wonder if they find humans tasty?

I remembered watching the killer whales made mince meats out of the great whites up at the Farallon Islands in one of those NatGeo/Animal Planet series.
