Getting closer to our trip to Guanaja. I've gotten the first round of shots and am counting the days.

Here's the question...How important is exposure protection? We'll keep our knees and elbows off the reef. How many jellyfish and other stingers are in the area? I have outgrown my wetsuit and can go with a skin on or 3 mil Farmer John bottom.

I don't like the idea of swimming in a herd of jellyfish to get to the boat.

Recommendations?

Simple answer: if you have fears of the effects of stinging, what's the harm in wearing a dive skin... And a beanie?

Water temps have been 82-84 all week. I've been wearing my usual, bathing suit and football practice jersey. I've seen a couple of small jellies during the day, and none at night.

I like the "usual". If the jellies aren't an issue no need to be spending mo money.
