On August 24th the North Florida Springs Alliance is hosting its 3rd annual Advanced Skills Clinic at Peacock Springs. Of the many clinics offered will be a clinic on Advanced Sidemounting taught by Lamar Hires of Dive Rite. As many are unaware,the modern sidemount rig's evolution was borne of the sidemounting effort of a small group in Florida during the 80s,for which Lamar was a part of. Their exploration work in sidemounting,and designing sidemount rigs has lead to the point in time where we are now. I encourage you to come hear this clinic,and the others as well. This clinic is filling up,and the time is nearing fast. There are a lot of sources to get sidemount information,but why not hear from the one of the innovators of sidemounting, from Lamar Hires. Also,some other very popular clinics being offered like light repair by Bobby Franklin of UW Light Dudes.
