I got these weights in today and for those that use shoulder weights these will work great. You can put them then on 2 inch webbing without removing d-rings, buckles and etc. I think they are as secure or maybe even more secure than weights in pockets.

That is brilliant!!! You could probably modify your current weights with a saw...and a respirator!
 
You could but the only problem you would have is the slots in the weights above are over twice as wide as the ones in standard weight, so I'n sure if it would work or not unless you widen the slots also.
 
interesting! this would allow me to change the weighting depending on stages and salt/fresh water!
