Near Moro bay, in central California.

The divers are two local divers, one very well known in the area.

I'm no humpback expert, but yeah I'm guessing the whale knew exactly where the diver was, and wasn't in any real danger of hitting him. Still, if that happened to me I would definitely need a new wetsuit
