Week 3 7/20 & 7/21 of LA Co ADP , started off with review and safety meeting prior to getting in the pool. 4 hrs of Pool skills were proper breath hold skin diving techniques with 5 min breath ups and ready breaths with descent and ascent skills followed by shallow water blackout rescue. 4 hrs of classroom with diver safety , dive planning , dive pre plan ie ; emergency phone numbers " lifeguards , fire department , ems agency , cat hyperbaric chamber , us coast guard ", dive site address , nearest phone? Diver info sheet ? How well do you know your buddy? Do you have contact numbers in case of an emergency , current med problems , medical history , medications/allergies. We also had a great guest speaker from the us coast guard .

Week 4 7/27 & 7/28 4 hrs of pool training with unconscious/unresponsive diver rescue from depth , getting help and getting diver through surf zone while protecting airway , then into the classroom for 4 more hrs with lectures on dive physiology, night diving , low vis diving , deep diving. Two dives at Vets Park dive #1 a 92' dive with low vis and some task loading and dive #2 was a navigation dive in surge while maintaining compass bearing and kick cycles.:D
