We've already had a great year of diving and we're only half way through! We've had some nice variety in our monthly diving events, and we're going to keep that going with our August club dive.

On Saturday August 17th, we'll head down to Mammoth Lake in Lake Jackson for a day of diving. There are plenty of underwater attractions to check out in the lake - a C130, a NASA training jet, lots of boats, cars, firetrucks, a submarine mock-up, and King Kong, just to name a few.

For those who are interested, we'll also be having a Photo Shoot-Out that day. With all there is to see in the lake, there are plenty of great photo ops. Bring your u/w camera with you and take some pics while you dive. CHUM Tiger Sharks can upload their favorites to the CHUM Gallery by Sunday of the following week (25 Aug) and we'll kick off a mini photo contest for the event. The winner of the mini photo contest will get a bonus entry into the fall's Calendar Competition.

Plan on a 10:00 am arrival time with two dives on the schedule. You're welcome to do more or fewer dives if you prefer.

After the diving, there's a very good chance that we'll be stopping off at Wings Over Texas, just around the corner in Clute, for some tasty chicken wings and maybe a beer or two.

It's gonna make for a fun outing. Who wants to come along?

Just a reminder about the dive event tomorrow. Come on out and join us!

It was a fun day at Mammoth. Thanks to everyone who came out!
