I have a mares Californian competition speargun.. It has about 34.5 8mm shaft..

My trigger is not releasing when underwater.. Its not shooting.. It seems to be in the trigger mechanism.. I want to send it in for repairs..

Can anyone tell me if I have to send it back to Mares for repair or just any mares repair shop such as spearfishing world etc??

Thanks

Gunner

Look at the bottom side of you trigger. Is there a small recessed flat head screw on your gun? If so try turning it counterclockwise @ 1/8 of a turn at a time and test it. That screw will adjust the trigger release. Just be sure when testing the trigger out of water to place the spear against a hard surface so you don't damage the internals by dry firing it.
