It's true. I was taking a photo of a white tip reef shark yesterday and as I approached him I felt a sneeze coming on. I don't know if you've sneezed underwater while scuba diving before but it can be kind of weird and I can feel it in my whole body. I can't say the feeling is all good...

Anyway, I was taking pictures of a resting shark and I sneezed and the shark took off! I just wish I was shooting a video and not a still shot at the time... then more of you would believe me that sharks are afraid of sneezing divers!! :D

Here's one of the shots I took:

Ah ! The basis for a new shark repellant. Sneeze-in-a-Can.

I've had that happen with soupfins (tope sharks) here... they're pretty skittish. Exhaling through your reg can sent them flying.

Haven't sneezed while diving yet, don't think I really want to
Poor shark, didn't know what was gonna get him. lol
