Maybe you know him from Dive Team PIG. Maybe you know him from Deep Six. Maybe you know him as CHUM's first Grand Poohbah. Even if you don't know him at all, come out this Thursday September 19th to hear John Camp, aka thermo, speak at our monthly meeting. His presentation “Perspectives on 20 years of diving from a diver, instructor, boat captain and former charter operator” will include bits about South Padre, Key West, videos and pics of wrecks (some sunk by u-boats), the Sea Searcher, the Spree, the Fling, Deep Six, sinking shrimp boats, ROV operations, sonar missions and much more.
Sept 19th also happens to be International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Wear your piratey attire to the meeting for a chance to win a little booty.
We'll also have a door prize that anyone can win, buccaneer or cubicle jockey alike.
The "official" start time of the meeting is 7:30 pm, but come early and stay late for some food, drinks and socializing. Meetings are held at Stag's Head Pub.
