Hi all,

I wanted to post this information for any of you late-season boaters/divers. You might recall that there was some work done on the ramp in the spring, and this construction will complete the refurbishment. The plan is to widen the existing ramp by about 6 feet to (to paraphrase the Harbour Master) allow for incompetent launchers and non-paying kayakers... :shakehead:

Regardless of the reasons, this work will end the dive season in Tobermory prematurely for anything other than shore diving. Commercial charter boats are coming out on the 21st as well.

Anyway, if you were planning on another outing up there this fall, you have one more weekend. It was gorgeous this weekend with water temps in the low 50s to the bottom of the Forest City and mid 50s on the Arabia (below)...

Ho hum, back to shore diving, huh? :)

The "shore" is the rocky part around the water, right?

Um, no.

Charter in the River this weekend, Tiller next weekend (my boat), than Waome... Then who knows... Might be ski season by then... ;-)
