Hola,

So I just bought a bungee mount for a Hollis DG03 off ye' ol' DGX.

How do I get the bloody thing on?

I've tried heating the plastic and levering it out with a knife. Neither worked.

Is it possible to actually remove the computer without irreparably damaging the OEM mount?

Thanks for the help!

Oscar

Ps first post. Thanks for having me. :)

Usually letting it sit in warm water will loosen the factory mounts enough to allow to to get the computer out.
It will still be difficult however.

Or....you could just cut the mount along the side with a pair of scissors.
It's not like you will ever need to use that factory mount again.

Cheers,
Mitch

+1 for the hot water.
its still pretty difficult with the DG03 but i got mine out eventually with no damage to the original mount.

I had an awful time getting my DG03 into the DSS mount. I thought I had the wrong mount at one point. Make sure the side button gets in first, then just shove and push and pull and curse until you get the rest in  I have found getting it out much easier.
