Top Shore Dives on the Big Island

Hello,

I'll have 6 days on the Big Island (staying near Waikoloa) to shore dive. The Kohala Dive Site map on google is great, thank you to whoever put that together. I would like the locals opinion on what are their favorite Kohala Coast shore dives. I'm an experienced diver with 200 dives. Thank you in advance.

Pipe Dreams at NELHA, only in the best conditions can be subject to surf and current

Puako, End of Road or House 40, hard to go wrong with any of the Puako entries

Mahukona, something way up north, a pleasant place to spend a day

hope you get some good diving in!

Is "End of the Road" the same site as "Village End?"

Yes, same place, called Village End on the shore dive site.

Scuba Shore Diving Site Listing for: The Big Island, Hawaiian Islands

I know it is not a shore dive but I highly suggest doing the Manta night dive, it is amazing.

We were new divers when we were on the BI. We really liked 2 Step AKA Place of Refuge and The Old Airport.
