The last time I dived this spot was with Shaka Doug. From Makena Landing, head north on Makena road. Should be two turns and the location should be the Kukahiko family cemetary. The entrance is the left cove. I don't remember the headings to the caves. You might PM Shaka Doug.

I've swum almost all the way from the Landing to the cove, and I'll be darned if I'm sure how many caves there are, or exactly where they all lie. I've scootered quite a bit further, too. I'd say just go out along the right-hand side of the Landing cove and follow the reef along its base, and shine a light in all the holes. You'll see some caves. The big one we find the sharks in is quite a swim -- maybe forty minutes or so at the speed I go, which is slow.

Can someone point out the location of the Five Caves from the Makena Landing entry? I've done them from a boat but never found them while doing a shore dive. I'll probably only get one shot and would like to reach all five! Thx in advance, Chris

The best way is go go scooter diving with us. Unless you are a fish, it would be hard to check out all five caves especially if you were looking for them. Message me if you are interested.
