I've read everything I can find on here about the Turquoise Bay/Subway op on Roatan, which isn't much. When asked, a friend who went there last Summer said he wouldn't go back, but declined to elaborate. Does anyone have any "fresh" news about TB and their dive affiliate?

I was there a few years ago and did not care for the dive op. The boats were old, slow, cramped and poorly equipped. The dive op could not stay to a schedule and we invariably left late in the AM and then we had a very rushed lunch.
The dive boat came in to the dock after each dive ( I think to switch out tanks ) so we were limited in our range.
Having said that, the resort was quite nice, the food good and the reefs excellent.
Based on comments from the dive shop manager on another thread, I think they have made real efforts to improve on things. Would I try it again? Yes.

I'd go back in a heartbeat! Was there with a group last September.
Jesus, the manager was great. The staff knew our names and preferred drinks on the first day. The food was incredible, and a ton of it.
Subway dive shop was good. The best ever? No, but very acceptable. Boats were fine, DM's were very nice and helpful.
Again, I'd go back
