I recently dove in the Bahamas and pulled the fleshy algae off of any coral it was starting to smother. Would it have been a bad idea for people to take a bag down and fill it. With enough people the damaged reefs near settlements could be cleared. Pros/Cons ??

i find algae blooms come and go with the water temps. if there's any type of run off from the mainland, then you have an uphill battle to contend with, as thats fueling the bloom.

all said, you might be farting in a hurricane if you think your making a positive impact.
