Oceanic OCS backlight question

Dear Oceanic,

I have the Oceanic OCS for a few months now and i am very satisfied with it. Certainly the best dive comp for its category.

I have encountered an issue and would to request some guide for the issue. my OCS unit have not produced any backlight when L button is pressed. the issue surfaced a few weeks ago. i have changed the glo duration a few steps in the menu but still have not produced the backlight.

No low battery indicator also seen on the OCS screen which mean the battery level is still high.

Same issue with my Geo 2.0

In normal mode the battery could be fine but when you use the backlight it put a very high current load on and will not light up with a weak battery. Or it could bad backlight. It easy to test with a geo2 just get a fresh battery and replace it and it should light up on startup the ocs is harder to test.

its worth a shot. The OCS battery is user replaceable. i'll look it up. thanks.

Oceanic had a problem with the back light failing on the Atom 1 computers. I know as I had one, I mentioned this to my LDS at the time where I bought it from and they told me of a recall and it was replaced free of charge.

I just replace my geo 2 battery but the backlight doesn't activated.
