ya $2500 flight per person is a tough pill to swallow. too bad not someone closer!

It depends on the time of year. The normal fare from the US east coast is $1900 to $2300. Those who make the journey are well rewarded with some of the best diving they have ever experienced, and most days they won't even see another dive boat. Top side it's like Hawaii 150 years ago, with very little development, and only a handful of tourists. It's what most people dream of as a real "tropical island".
If the airfare was the same as to get to the Caribbean, then it would be over run with tourists, the reef would be dead from too many divers and top side development causing run off, and it would look like Waikiki.
We see the smiles and constant returning divers, so we know the rather high airfare is a big deterrent for first time visitors, but those who come, always leave very happy.
