We are doing the trip as a straight cost split, so no money is being made by anyone. The current participants include a dive instructor, dive master, a master diver, and a marine biologist, among others.
July 13th to 16th, 2014
General: All inclusive, live aboard dive boat. All food and non-alcoholic drinks provided. Unlimited tank refills. (Nitrox available for additional fee.) Bring your own equipment
Cost: $775 per person (This includes all gratuities. The non-charter cost is $800, + gratuity.)
Location: Depart from Santa Barbara (possible carpool/caravan from San Jose). Leave San Jose Saturday July 12th, boat departs 10pm July 12th. Return to dock Wednesday July 16th by 5pm. (Santa Barbara is about 4 hours from San Jose.)
Diving Details: Trip destination to San Clemente Island. San Clemente boasts world class attractions for photographers and hunters alike. At San Clemente you will find pristine kelp forests, steep dropoffs, and crevices filled with spiny lobster, all while enjoying some of the warmest, clearest waters California has to offer. Located 55 nautical miles south of Long Beach, San Clemente offers divers the chance to glimpse pelagic species untouched by the sport boat crowds. Dive locations to tentatively include 2 days at San Clemente, 1 day at Catalina, and 1 day northern islands. Some people make up to 5 dives a day. We will also try for a scallop dive.
Happy to send more info, or talk to you about the trip.
