Hi,
I just got a used scubapro G500 second stage and I am trying to find out if it is involved in the VIVA knob recall. Its serial number however, has 10 digits whereas the recall involves 8 digit serials. My question is, have Scubapro made that many second stages that jumped from 8 to 10 digit serials? Or am I getting something wrong?

Can you discern the date it was manufactured? I believe the defective regs were only produced a few months in 1997. I think unless the number has a "97" in it, you should be fine. I'm sure one of our resident reg experts can weigh in on this, but thats my understanding.

Why not just email scubapro directly and ask them?
