I was diving at Lovers Cove yesterday. Half way through my dive I saw something at about 17' on top of the sand and on the move very very quickly. It was a mollusk of some type I think a cockle it had a large white foot and the foot would push against the sand and lift the clam like body off the sand and push it forward. I was really on the move. The mollusk could open and close with shell on both sides like a clam. The shell had ridges that ran from the hing point to the top in a fan pattern. Can anyone tell me what I saw. From the pictures I have seen on line looks like a cockle. thank you
