Wow,..... I'm at 950 dives now. Seems very real that I may be able to complete the goal within this year. I look back & see how far I've come in 8 yrs,.... from a basic open water diver, to advanced open water diver, to master diver, to advanced Nitrox/ deco diver, cavern & intro to cave diver, to a dive control specialist, to a full cave diver to open water instructor, to advanced open water instructor, & now my newest interest in rebreather diving. Diving has really become a passion for me. I love to share what I do & try to dive any chance I get. I've truly been blessed.

It's a big milestone. 1000 dives in 8 years is a lot of diving ... good that you could remain active and progress as you have over that time period.

Cheng's at about the same number you are, although she has no interest in cave or tech diving. She was hoping to be able to do her 1000th in Fiji when we go there next May ... but she's leaving for Nepal in a few weeks, and won't be diving between then and when we meet in Fiji ... so I doubt it'll happen there. Probably not till she gets done with her second Peace Corps term in January 2017.

Lucky you ! I've started diving earlier than you, but I'm almost 300 dives behind. :banghead: Enjoy your 1000th dive !
