I found a pretty good site for information on the Costa Blanca area in Spain. There's a ton of webcams and information on the valencia area. This is the link to the main site: http://www.comunitatvalenciana.com/

This is the link to dive shops:

I'll be staying in Alicante for the month of July. In August I'll be traveling down the coast to Malaga. If anyone has any suggestions on good dives and dive operators, I'd much appreciate it.

Lucky you! I went out with Amigos Del Mar out of Javea last summer. All of the dive ops I visited in that area seemed pretty spartan, they certainly don't have the equipment we have in the US, so bring your own reg and wetsuit if you can. You will need at leat a 5 mil and a hood will do you some good.
Amigos Del Mar were good, though, despite their slow boat. The DM's were very skilled and responsible, and they were courteous and professional. They even had two that spoke English to my surprise. (it strains my brain muscles to have to think of Spanish words for scuba-related things). They had one-tank boats and I think it cost 30 euros. They did not do night dives, none of the ops I visited did.
The diving was really nice. Nothing really mind-blowing, there are no corals, but the water is crystal clear and very clean, and I have never seen so many octopi, ever, all in broad daylight. As always, it left me wanting more. have fun!

Hi SMW...You´ll pass through the area were I live on the way to Malaga, A place called Cuevas De Almanzora. I´m a little over 2 hours south of Alicante. If you fancy a dive stop on the way down, let me know. A very good friend of mine runs one of the dive centres in the area, and I know he´ll look after you.
