Anyone have recommendations to dive in Michigan? I will be up there for a week in June camping at Bass Lake near Interlochen and Traverse City.

Hi Kyle; my inlaws have a Centennial farm outside of Interlochen. Traverse City area is beautiful. It is my understanding that there is good diving in the Grand Traverse Bay and further north in Lake Charlevoix, located in of all places, Charlevoix. :wink: There is a dive shop in downtown Traverse City that can help you out with locations and charters. I will look them up and get the url back to you. :thumb:

Kyle;

Here is the url for Scuba North located in Traverse City:

Their phone number is (231) 947-2520

Let me/us know what you find out.

The Straits of Mackinaw is well worth the trip from Traverse City. The Manitou Islands (out of Traverse City) has a preserve, but I'm not too impressed with it. Let me know if you decide to come up to the Straits, and I'll set you up with a fantastic charter boat, and give you a tour of the best wrecks.

Here's a nice site describing a lot dive locations in the Great Lakes:

Take care.

Mike
