Underwater Hunting in MI

I love to scuba dive and extremely interested in taking my love of hunting underwater with me. Does anyone know what the rules of underwater hunting are in michigan! I have tried to contact the DNR but the few ppl i have talked to dont really seem to know. The Great Lakes are huge and there are many species the grill down there... Please Help

Hi Tville,

I'm not an underwater hunter but can tell you the only LDS I've seen spears, etc. displayed in the metro-Detroit area is Rec Diving in Royal Oak. There could be others but I'm not sure. & I'd call before going to Rec as I know the hunter buff at Rec is a past owner.

Also, if you haven't already, check out the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew forum under clubs. Lots of local divers to buddy up with.
