I just graduated from Wazzu and recently moved to the greenlake area. I just got my NAUI open water certification dive about a month ago so i'm still pretty green and looking for someone to show me around. I'd really like to dive more but I dont have anyone in the seattle area to dive with. So I'm hoping to find someone here.

Welcome to the world of SCUBA diving! I have a couple of suggestions:

1) Go to >http://www.northwestdiver.com/index.php> And join this board and post this message there.

2) Does your LDS have a Dive Club associated with it? If so, think about joining it, or one of the other dive clubs in the area.

3) Talk to your LDS about continuing your diving education. (AOW, Rescue, etc.)

Lot's of luck and keep diving!! :wink:

Hi;
We have a very active and fun dive club with 200 members. See:Marker Buoy Dive Club

Send a message to our webmaster, we have a New Member Dive coming up on the 14th.

Dive clubs are a great way to go.

I addition to Marker Buoy (which is a good suggestion), I can also recommend ...

Moss Bay Dive Club ... http://www.mossbaydiveclub.org/

and

Emerald Sea Dive Club ... http://www.emeraldseadiveclub.org/home.html

Someone earlier suggested northwestdiver.com ... you can easily find dive buddies there. It's a very active place for local diving, with a calendar that lists events for a variety of clubs and local dive shops, as well as other dive-related activities throughout the northwest. It's also a great resource for learning about local dive sites.

Welcome to the area ...

Heya, i'm down to go diving whenever. I've done the majority of my dives in the tropics but I'm a Seattle native and know the area well. I've been getting in the cold but nutrient-rich waters lately and trying to grow some blubber to acclimate to the temps. PM or email me if you wanna get wet sometime :)
