I'm going, along with my kids, to Lloret for a week beginning this Saturday. What I'd like to have are opinions as to the diving there, along with any suggestions for a dive operator there.

Thanks!

Phil

Head to the Iles Mendes at Estartit. There are half a dozen dive ops there. I've dived with Calypso and they are OK but I'm sure the others are too.

Its a reserve and only so many divers per day so maybe book in advance?

Lloret is a bit touristy although there are a couple of dive shops there I think.

Worth the (short) drive - traffic crap in summer though!

Hi Chris,

yeah, I would love to dive the Isles Medes, but since I have my kids with me, I won't have the luxury of driving up to Estartit. I'll be pretty much stuck around Lloret. I know it's touristy...I actually chose that for my children. Lot's of stuff for them to do. I just hope to get in a few warm-water (compared to Holland) dives in during the week.
