Solomon Islands

Can anyone tell me how the Solomon Islands compare to some of the other Indo-Pacific locations (e.g. Palau, PNG, GBR, Bunaken, ...)? I've seen the info, I'm convinced the Solomons are going to be a great diving site; I'm weighing the Solomons against the Red Sea right now. Solomon Islands will take more time because I'm a nutcase and will wind up doing either Fiji or GBR depending on the selected plane route. I'm hoping to get information that I can use to compare the Solomons to other locations that I've been to (which includes Bunaken, Palau, Truk Lagoon, and KBR in the Indo Pacific).
